Ocean Conservation Comes to Astor Place!

It's easy to forget the ocean is only a few miles from Astor Place.

Oceans have many vulnerabilities caused by mankind, so we're helping raise awareness of the importance of ocean conservation by becoming part of the NYC Wave Trail.

Project 0 a non-profit organization focused for ocean conservation, today installed two wave-form statues to raise awareness and funds for their work in protecting and restoring the oceans.

The pieces were designed by Margaret Zhang and Suki Waterhouse and are part of a total of 53 installations across all 5 boroughs. The Suki Waterhouse statue is located on the Astor Place North Plaza, while the Margaret Zhang statue is installed on the Astor Place East Plaza (near the Cooper Union Foundation Building).

The sculptures will be in place until June 22nd.
