The second Creativity Cubed; East Village Faces, Places & Traces was defined by the powerful voices and soaring uncut words of the Bowery Poetry Club and the Bowery Slam Team.
The busy and industrious click, click click of typewriters emanated from the Haiku tent while Bowery Poetry "Professor Poets" hosted amazing poetry workshops! Colorful creative talent was overflowing with the Storm Ritter Studio and Uncle Sam's Army Navy Outfitters who led the creation of a community mural and incredible mannequin making!
The Strangers Project shared hundreds of moving stories written anonymously, conveying the raw and often undocumented everyday reality of peoples lives.
The ever popular mini-spinning cube workshops produced dozens of mini spinning cubes created by hands young and old, all documenting fifty years of East Village Faces, Places and Traces and celebrating the 50th birthday of the "Cube".
