51 Astor Place
This contemporary office building (2013) on the corner of Astor Place and Third Avenue, was designed by Fumihiko Maki, and brings a modern contrast to the historic Cooper Union Foundation building across the street. Inside the lobby features a bright red sculpture of a rabbit by Jeff Koons. The building’s green features have received national praise, with 2 private green roofs and a LEED Gold Certification.
